+++ "I had no idea what I was in for but felt nothing but blind trust in the whole experience. My trust turned out to be warranted and rewarded 10 times over."

"There is something so untouchable about meeting someone with whom your soul just clicks instantly. Someone who wants to know about you, someone who genuinely cares, someone who gets it. That is Jade at her base level, and she gives that level of care to absolutely everyone. I came across Jade, her work and Woman Poetry at the darkest point in my life. On impulse, I signed myself up for a Woman Poetry New Years retreat in Sayulita, Mexico. I had no idea what I was in for but felt nothing but blind trust in the whole experience. My trust turned out to be warranted and rewarded 10 times over. I didn't arrive to a yoga instructor who wanted to judge my abilities or spend 1 hour per day with picture-perfect yogis...I was welcomed by a genuine human being who wanted to share her story and to hear mine. I was introduced and welcomed to this whole world of authenticity, honesty, and loving healing through the beauty that is Woman Poetry. How rare is it in life to find the people that lift you up? The people that leave you better than when you found them? The people that are right for you? I am always grateful to have connected with Jade and to have her in my life. I continue to practice Woman Poetry and can't wait to practice with Jade again."

+++ "It's hard to imagine putting in work at a yoga retreat beyond flows in class, but you do. The work you put in is soul work."

"You don't know what you've signed up for at first. You can read the information, see the photos, and watch the videos but ultimately you have no clue. It's hard to imagine putting in work at a yoga retreat beyond flows in class, but you do. The work you put in is soul work. It's not the kind of work anyone will hold you accountable for, only you will know what you've done. It's hard to truly explain the ways my time with you has shaped me. It's something you can't verbalize, only feel. Feel it in your heart and gut. I went to my first retreat expecting to hear some amazing words, and practice beautiful yoga, maybe meet a new friend. I didn't realize that I would be voicing some of my deepest traumas and heartbreaks. I had no clue I would be unboxing things that I'd locked away years ago. Cleaning the wounds so they could heal without further infection. Yes, painful, but necessary. Coming home from that first retreat I realized how much I'd changed, and how much more I needed. My body had begun to feel like my own again. This was my therapy, my release and my reward. I learned how to love myself again. I learned that I'm beautiful even with my trauma. I still have so much room left to grow, but that's because you've showed me how. You have helped facilitate my path and filled it with love. This isn't a yoga retreat- it's a journey of your soul."
